![]() This concept art piece for Dead Space 3 interests me because it shows me the intricacies of a character’s design which I find appealing. Whilst my preference has been stated earlier I don’t mind looking at environmental art. I like settings which can leave me awe-struck in their size or majesty which is something I get from art like this. ![]() ![]() The main reason I like this one is because of the grand feeling that is conveyed through the image. This is another piece of fantasy art which I find appealing. I’m also more interested in objects and characters rather than scenery. I feel that in a fantasy type setting it allows for more intricate and unrealistic design choices that would be rather interesting to look at. Whilst this can be true for any fictional setting I feel that so much more is possible in a fantasy setting since it is up to the creator what their limitations are. I also like fantasy settings more as their is often less limitations to the setting. I suppose I like the picture above because the designs in it are intriguing to me. When you can make something for a fantasy setting there is little limiting your ability to create something and because of this you can find some really interesting art pieces like the one above. Matt Rockefeller has made a number of art pieces set into a fantasy setting which is probably the main reason I’m so attracted to it. I feel I should mention that prior to this research I did not look at concept art from specific artists so I don’t really have a favourite artist. I will also make mention of the artists who created the concept art. For this page I will list some concept art that I find interesting and make notes of certain aspects of the concept art.
